Having specialised in general criminal defence work since 1989. Romana qualified in 1999 and prior to setting up Solomons Solicitors was a founding partner at her previous firm where she gained extensive experience in a wide range of criminal cases.

Since the inception of Solomons Solicitors Romana have been involved in establishing a general criminal department within the firm, advising and representing clients in a whole range of criminal cases including Fraud, Revenue and Customs investigations, Money Laundering, Murder, drugs cases ranging from importation to simple possession, possession of firearms, various degrees of assault and public order offences.

She also regularly provides advice and representation in the police station to those involved in police investigations and to others involved in investigations by professional bodies and regulatory authorities.

Having appeared in the Magistrates Court almost on a daily basis for over two decades Romana has extensive Magistrates Court advocacy experience. In this time she has dealt with many high profile cases which have gained much publicity.

Romana has also developed a family law practice over the years dealing with divorce, financial asset split, child contact and child care cases.

A member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors Association, the Criminal Law Solicitors Association, Society of Asian Lawyers and Association of Muslim Lawyers.
